The EPR Paradox for the Uninitiated

Published 10 Jan 2011 in physics.pop-ph and quant-ph | (1101.1905v1)

Abstract: Quantum mechanics is very odd. It presents both an immensely practical and a deeply troubling conception of the physical world. As such, its uses stretch from optimizing nanoelectronics to examining the very nature of reality. In this article we will see how quantum mechanics forces us into a dramatic rethinking of one of the most fundamental tenets of modern science, locality. The article is written in a popular style for anyone interested in this subject.
