Superradiance as a Source of Collective Decoherence in Quantum Computers

Published 1 Jul 2014 in quant-ph | (1407.0411v1)

Abstract: We argue that superradiance (collective emission) due to radiative coupling of qubit states results in non-local noise, and thus introduces an error source that cannot be corrected using current models of fault-tolerant quantum computation.
