Pressure-induced recovery of Fourier's law in one dimensional momentum-conserving systems
Published 9 Nov 2015 in cond-mat.stat-mech | (1511.02585v3)
Abstract: We report the two typical models of normal heat conduction in one dimensional momentum-conserving systems. They show the Arrhenius and the non-Arrhenius temperature dependence. We construct the two corresponding phenomenologies, transition-state theory of thermally activated dissociation and the pressure-induced crossover between two fixed points in fluctuating hydrodynamics. Compressibility yields the ballistic fixed point, whose scaling is observed in FPU-\beta lattices.
