M-strings and Transverse Orbifold

Abstract: We discuss the partition function of a single M5-brane on a circle with transverse orbifold of ADE type and show that the modes captured by the partition function are those of the tensor multiplet and the thee form field. We show that the bound states of M-strings corresponding to pair of simple roots appear, for all ADE, only when the momentum on the circle is turned on.
