C*-algebraic normalization and Godement-Jacquet factors

Abstract: We observe how certain distribution on $\mathrm{GL}(n)$ that generates Godement-Jacquet $\gamma$-factors appears naturally in the C*-algebraic normalization process for standard intertwining integrals on $\mathrm{SL}(n+1)$.
