Real Seifert forms, Hodge numbers and Blanchfield pairings

Abstract: In this survey article we present connections between Picard--Lefschetz invariants of isolated hypersurface singularities and Blanchfield forms for links. We emphasize the unifying role of Hermitian Variation Structures introduced by N\'emethi.
