Multi-dimensional Short Blocklength Probabilistic Shaping for Digital Subcarrier Multiplexing Systems

Abstract: We propose multi-dimensional short blocklength probabilistic shaping to increase the nonlinear tolerance gain in digital subcarrier multiplexing transmission systems and demonstrate an improvement in performance compared to lower dimensional formats.
