A method for constructing Weierstrass elliptic function solutions and their degenerated solutions of the mKdV equation

Abstract: A Weierstrass type projective Riccati equation expansion method is proposed by using the Weierstrass elliptic function solutions of the projective Riccati equations and the conversion formulas which transform the Weierstrass elliptic functions into the hyperbolic and the trigonometric functions. The Weierstrass elliptic function solutions and their degenerated solutions including the solitary wave and the periodic wave solutions of the mKdV equation are obtained by using the proposed method.
