FDO Manager: Minimum Viable FAIR Digital Object Implementation

Abstract: The concept of FAIR Digital Objects (FDOs) aims to revolutionise the field of digital preservation and accessibility in the next few years. Central to this revolution is the alignment of FDOs with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) Principles, particularly emphasizing machine-actionability and interoperability across diverse data ecosystems. This abstract introduces the "FDO Manager", a Minimum Viable Implementation, designed to optimize the management of FDOs following these principles and the FDO specifications. The FDO Manager is tailored to manage research artefacts such as datasets, codes, and publications, to foster increased transparency and reproducibility in research.
