Hasse-Schmidt derivations and locally trivial deformations in positive characteristic

Abstract: In this paper, we first study the lifting problem of Hasse-Schmidt derivations and then apply the results to locally trivial deformations of algebraic schemes, both in positive characteristic setting. In particular, we show that any locally trivial deformation of an affine scheme is trivial even in positive characteristic.
