The weights α\alpha are uniquely determined by a Gram matrix system if the shifted kernels are linearly independent (Chattopadhyay et al., 2019).

  • Applicability to deeper networks: While ACSF has been demonstrated in standard FF/CNN architectures, compatibility with very deep (ResNet, transformer) or recurrent networks remains an area of active investigation (Zambrano et al., 2016).
